UPDATE: I have found out that the e-mail feed for my blog broke once the number of posts got too large. I have changed a parameter, and I hope that this is now fixed. (You subscribe with the control on the right.)

The comment section here is largely dead. My Substack or Twitter are better places to have a conversation.
Given that this is largely a backup way to reach me, I am going to reject posts that annoy me. Please post lengthy essays elsewhere.

One of the mysteries of blogging is guessing which posts will be the most popular. Why this post, on a Canadian holiday two months ago, surged to the top 10 list of page views on my blog puzzles me. If this keeps up, expect posts for the 12 Days Of Christmas...
